Re: A torrent of lawsuits descending on Canadians

So if you download and watch 50 movies and TV shows, they take your house away with the lien trick and use the garnish trick to take your wages away for eternity. Ohhhhh Canada! :toofunny All by DESIGN (because nothing happens by chance). How they did it: 1. Release the bit torrent protocol and tell...

Re: ABC Feeds transitioning to HEVC 4:2:2 this summer

So if this gains traction. This will be how they kill c band. Why all the doom and gloom? If ABC is transitioning to HEVC, it almost certainly means they will start transmitting in 4K. And if ABC does it, so will CBS, NBC, CW and the avalanche to 4K content will begin. Most of us already own HEVC/4...

The uplink is allocating more bandwidth and programming looks much better now. :thumbsup

ThisTV (99°W 3827 H 6650)

FETV, LeSea and others here too showing classic tv shows. Almost as good as the stuff on 101°W. Do a rescan of this sat if you haven't watched it in a while like me.

Re: Streaming is a Flop: Investors sue DirecTV Now

Leaks are coming from DirecTV too. HDHomerun was forced to shut down recently. All their content was allegedly being stolen from DirecTV. Streaming has turned out to be a double-edged sword. Somebody at pay-tv HQ didn't think this thru. Sure programmers can cut out the middle men and stream the cont...

HBO and Cinemax are now available on Orby.
Yes and their lineup is starting to rival that of Dish/Directv. Keep in mind that only the main HBO in the package is in HD while the rest are in SD. Same with the Cinemax package. Better than nothing though and more reliable than streaming for sure.

Adding OTA dongle to Enigma 2 Receiver to watch locals

If you own an Enigma 2 receiver without a built-in ATSC tuner (or want a 2nd tuner) you can still watch your locals by installing an ATSC USB dongle. We recommend the Hauppauge 955Q dongle. You can purchase it directly from Hauppauge: http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/data_hvr955q.html It only...
