Server Upgrades

TVROSat Members,

We recently updated servers and now some of our scripts for the charts are throwing errors. The forum seems to be okay. We are working on fixing all the bugs and things should be back to normal soon.

Thanks for your patience.

Re: Thank you.

I believe the AnikF1R @ 107.3w is being retired. It is must be out of fuel.

Canadian content is being moved to AnikF3 @ 119w. Hopefully the Canadian networks will move here too.

Re: Mesh vs Solid Dish

Fatso has it right. Most are too broke to buy a big dish, especially a commercial solid one, even if they wanted to. Our sponsors could build them, but they would just sit in the warehouse for years. I've been told even the TV stations are buying mesh to save money these days. People complain about ...

New DCII Forum

Due to popular demand, we have opened a forum for posting DCII feeds. https://www.tvrosat.com/forum/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=288 To view such feeds you need a used commercial Arris/Motorola receiver: DSR-4410, DSR-6000, DSR-6050, DSR-6100. These receivers can decode the digicipher 2 standard, which is...

Re: fox movies on 133west

We have opened a DCII forum.

If a feed is unscrambled and uses the DCII standard, you can post it in our new forum.

Re: Mesh vs Solid Dish

Mesh is the right solution for backyard enthusiasts. They are light weight, install on a smaller post and encounter much less wind resistance. Since you can "see" through them, they are much less of an eye sore and you can still see your backyard. Solid dishes are mostly for the TV stations. They ar...

Re: Great Movies on 97 west

Similar story on the Mexican satellites located at 113 and 117 west. If you do a blind scan starting around midnight, you will likely find several US movies playing.

Re: WTB affordable positioner

$45 won't even buy you an LNBF these days. :verysad Titanium no longer sells positioners and Rick has been out of stock for years. Our sponsor sells the Superjack controller if anyone is interested: http://www.tek2000.com/cgi-bin/web.cgi?command=product&item=SuperJack%20C-Band%20Dish%20Positioner-ND

Re: Rainier says linear TV is being shut down on AT&T and Dish in 2020

What Ranier does is enables the reception of linear TV so he is essentially saying that he will have nothing to sell next year. The consumer TVRO subscription business is dead. Just as dead as the DirecTV, Dish and Orby pay TV subscription business. :dirtnap: The American consumer is flat out broke...
