Re: Audio Problem for NBC on 125 west

Hi Fatso,

Thank you for researching this. Does the software/hardware you use to analyse and or display these data run on Windows 10 only or can it run on Linux as well? Any information on this will be joyfully appreciated.

A beautiful day here,

Re: Supporting the super jack.

Thank you, For that useful information. I will start to lube them, after I replace them. I did not before because I thought they would loosen with lube. Silly me. I will blind scan these birdies, If I can get that far east, and report the results. My latitude is circa 124°W. I wonder if that matters...

Re: Supporting the super jack.

Actuator-assembly.jpg Didn't you get an actuator plate with your dish? Rather than bolting the actuator jack to the dish arm, you bolt the actuator plate to the arm and the jack to the actuator plate. This gives the jack more leverage and allows for more travel. BTW, there is nothing much on 65w c ...

Re: Supporting the super jack. Not. :-)

Hi tek2000, Thank you for the reply. I do have the actuator plate installed. I will upload a photo later today, to see if I managed to do it wrong somehow. I went down and observed that the actuator assembly moves with the dish, and is not stationary, so a stationary support will not work. I have en...

Supporting the super jack.

Hello, I am about to re-position the super jack (that moves our 10 foot dish) such that we will be able to get over to 65W, even if it means losing 139W. I attempted to move the dish from 87W to 85W, and the actuator would not move. I went down to the dish and saw that the nut was very loose on the ...

Galaxy 30 at 125W in 2020.

Hello, Thought this notification of an upcoming launch of another C band satellite might be good news for those who enjoy the Clarke belt: http://www.intelsat.com/global-network/satellites/launch-schedule/ I will continue to rake up more information on this when time permits! Hoping this bird really...

SNR and equinoxes.

Hello, I have noticed that our maximum SNR on NASA 127W has gone from 14.8 to 15.8, over the past week, which includes the fall equinox. There is a transponder on 123W which also peaks at 15.8 SNR. Since the true azimuth of the clarke belt lies somewhere between these two satellites I am assuming th...

Re: Another million DirecTV Refugees - please read to get your TV back

Hello, We were DirecTV customers since circa 1999 until 2019, almost 20 years. We saw DirecTV go from a fun company who cared about its customers and offered good rates on its varied packages to a buggy overpriced service just prior to being acquired by AT & T. After AT & T took over, it has complet...

English stream is not english?

Hello, There is this awesome channel about nature, animals and the Earth, HITN, on Galaxy 23 121W. The ZGemma-H7 receiver indicates there is an english audio track. When selected this audio track is in spanish. When a file from this channel is probed with ffprobe, it states there is an english sound...

Re: 125 west

Hello beeman8, Could be a lot of things. With enough details help should be possible: 1. What is the size of your dish? 2. LNB are you using? 3. Is the dish for C band with a C/Ku LNB or is your dish a Ku band only? Any additional information on this, including the suggested questions above will be ...
