NBCSN access in Canada.

Hello, Here in the USA, the only way I am able to access the NBCSN (wanting to watch NHL playoffs) is through cable or a streaming service. We dumped youtube-TV after they raised their rates from 49.99 to 64.999, aka circa $800.00 per year for streaming access. Are the fine people in Canada getting ...

Re: How to take apart and replace VBox II transformer?

Hello,

I had problems with that for a bit, until I tightened the bolts on the helmet, very carefully so as not to lose signal. Perhaps this might help?

Best of luck,

Re: Has the NASA Transponder's Power been reduced?

Hello all,

The lost SNR on 127W is back. I will be checking other satellites later, out of curiosity later.

Have a great Clarke belt day,

Re: Has the NASA Transponder's Power been reduced?

NASA transponder SNR is down for me. On my 12' dish I get Reelz: 17 dB Nasa: 12.3 dB ESTV: 16 dB There could be adjacent satellite interference or NASA needs to crank up the power. Those with smaller than 10 footers probably aren't even getting a whiff of the signal. Awesome! Thank you for this ver...

Has the NASA Transponder's Power been reduced?

Hello, I noticed that this morning that the NASA transponder on 127W (3920 V, DVB-S2, 8PSK, 28068-3/4) went from SNR 16.2 yesterday to SNR ~9.0 today. The Reelz transponder (3820 H, DVB-S2, 8PSK, 30000-5/6) SNR has remained the same at SNR 12.4. Has anyone else noticed NASA's transponder SNR being r...

Re: How to take apart and replace VBox II transformer?

Good times, Everything appears to be working again, with one I hope trivial difference: When the receiver is turned off the VBox II DiseqC box powers down after about 3 seconds, as expected. However instead of one green LED that is still visible and powered there are now three LED dots that are powe...

Re: How to take apart and replace VBox II transformer?

Some success: Managed to get the VBox II up and running. We are using the old motor on the new actuator arm because it runs so smoothly and quietly. The new motor is quite noisy, so we harvested some of the wiring harnesses to replace the rusted ones in the old wiring. Everything works well enough e...

Re: Is Pay TV inflation starting to get out of control? Is Dish bankruptcy imminent?

OMG, We have youtube TV. It is pretty nice when we play it using our mac via a chrome browser. However it is NOT $65.00/month nice. We're done. Looking up our paid to date and canceling. That is $770/year. A person can do a lot with $770. Thank you tvroadmin for the heads up on this! Canceling youtu...
