Re: Wcbs 8101,Velocity 9421

Hello,

The url in the latest post in this thread appears to be fictitious? Perhaps IT is working on something? If I can help, please let me know.

Cheers,

belter-one

P.S. The site looks good to me so far.

Re: NOAA removed from 101 W.

I tried SR of 30000 and it was a no go. Someone with a spectrum analyzer should check to see if there is anything here. Satsignature is a pay service now. Thank you, Dishcrank, for checking this out. I just called NOAA and sent out an email and will post whatever information, if any, I get in...

Re: NOAA removed from 101 W.

Hello, Can anyone check and see if the following transponder is still active for NOAA: C-Band Service Satellite: G-28 (Galaxy -28) Orbital Location: 89° West Transponder: CH117/CV117 36MHz C-band Downlink Polarization (from G28 to remote receive only sites): Vertical Transponder Downlink Center Freq...

NOAA removed from 101 W.

... SMDH, I was looking forward to tuning in NOAA on 101 W, as we are having some dangerous trees removed that would have made this possible. Does anyone know if they are moving to a different satellite? The Satelliteguys had a post saying as much, with a URL that is now a dead link. Perhaps the cur...

DSR questions.

Hello, I have several questions about DSR 6000 versus DSR 6050 receivers: 1. Can a DSR 6050 receiver decode MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 programming or just MPEG-4? 2. Can a DSR 6000 receiver decode MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 programming or just MPEG-2? 3. Can a DSR 6050 receiver decode the new MPEG-4 4.2.2 data that i...

Weather Channel and FNX itc.

Hello,

Good morning. For some nice reason the Weather Channel and FNX are itc on 131W:

DVB-S2
3860 H
30000 SR
8PSK
5/6
I am going to enjoy them whilst they are here.

Cheers,

Re: Apollo 50th Anniversary

Hello,

Which satellite? Galaxy 13's NASA transponder seems not to have changed, and is at ~ 15.0 SNR at the moment. Could you include the frequency, Symbol Rate, ... , and what satellite has a new symbol rate?

Thank you for sharing,

Re: Apollo 50th Anniversary

Anyone know what kind of feed they were using on their antenna? I believe it was a helical feed and was a 3.0 m diameter wire mesh antenna, similar to what most of you have purchased to watch satellite tv. :biggrin The flat earth society claims the Apollo Moon missions were a hoax and point to the ...
