Re: COVID-19 Coverage (Flu Epidemic)

Reminder that this is actually a leaked bioweapon from the National Biosafety Laboratory in Wuhan: https://nypost.com/2020/02/22/dont-buy-chinas-story-the-coronavirus-may-have-leaked-from-a-lab/ Don't trust a word the Chinese government says. Real infection levels are at least 10x higher than the of...

I recommend the daily "Containing Coronavirus" segment aired at 10pm CST on CGTN.

Not natively, no. However you can stream to your PC over the webif interface and open the stream with VLC and play it on your computer monitor and it works fine.
At that point why would you not just cut out the middleman entirely and use a PC tuner card.

Re: Mesh vs Solid Dish

Mesh is the right solution for backyard enthusiasts. They are light weight, install on a smaller post and encounter much less wind resistance. Since you can "see" through them, they are much less of an eye sore and you can still see your backyard. Solid dishes are mostly for the TV stations. They a...

Re: The Waltons is coming to MeTV on Jan 01

I didn't know The Waltons was filmed in HD.🤔 Why would Metv be in 1080p when all their content was filmed in SD? The Waltons was shot on 35mm film. Anything shot on 35mm film can be scanned in in HD. CBS has remastered many of their classic series. Here's a few screenshots of The Waltons in HD. The...

Re: The Waltons is coming to MeTV on Jan 01

Careful now. Decrying "blasphemy" and elevating your prophet to be above mockery is dangerous ground to tread. We've all seen how well that's worked out for the Muslim world. Also there's something truly insane about calling one of the world's biggest and most ruthless corporations "communist." Jeff...

Re: The Waltons is coming to MeTV on Jan 01

I agree with jess76. So much content is free on c band, why pay for it? :lolsign: Well, some of us don't like commercials, channel logos in the corner, and bad compression. MeTV's 720p C-band uplink quality pales in comparison to the clean, x264 encoded with bitrates up to 15 Mbps, 1080p versions o...

Re: Is AT&T TV Now joining the streaming graveyard?

Streaming live TV has never been "the future."

"The future" was always streaming on demand video content. And it's now the present.

Linear television is dropping like a fly no matter what medium delivers it whether it be satellite, cable or the Internet.

Re: Mother and son team stream Dish Network content around the globe

Is there a reason why these illegal IPTV resellers always pick Dish Network as their company of choice? Are there ones using other companies like DirecTV or a cable company TV package to feed their service, and we just don't hear about them because Dish Network is the only company that pursues these...
