Re: Rainier says linear TV is being shut down on AT&T and Dish in 2020

What Ranier does is enables the reception of linear TV so he is essentially saying that he will have nothing to sell next year. The consumer TVRO subscription business is dead. Just as dead as the DirecTV, Dish and Orby pay TV subscription business. :dirtnap: The American consumer is flat out broke...

Re: Rainier says linear TV is being shut down on AT&T and Dish in 2020

Straight from the horses mouth. Fake News. Even at the rate Directv and Dish are losing customers, there are still some 23 million people sending them a couple of thousand dollars per year to watch a handful of over compressed linear satellite TV channels. That's at least $23 billion in revenue. Wh...

Re: Rust removal from mast helmet bolts.

I recommended to tek2000 that they should powder coat the two long screws and cap bolts on the collar and the 8 strong bolts that hold the reflector to the mount. These are the only ones that will rust over time. The little bolts that stitch the panels together I believe are stainless or brass and d...

Is AT&T TV Now joining the streaming graveyard?

AT&T TV NOW May Shut Down According to MoffettNathanson

These streaming services are dropping like flies. :dirtnap:

What happened? I thought streaming live TV was the future? :scratchingmyhead:

Re: zgemma h7 loopout

I would use a dual port LNBF. Run one coax to receiver 1 and a second coax to receiver 2. This way, both receivers will simultaneously receive both polarities on the same satellite. If this isn`t possible, use a 2-way switch (5 MHz - 2.4 GHz). Designate one receiver as the master and make the second...

Re: How to add a second LNB to dish

See section 8.5 of our famous C Band Satellite Setup Guide The Professor has derived this formula Off-Axis Length = Focal Length x tan (1.1*Angle) where Angle = separation of satellites in degrees. Accurate for zenith satellites but you must compensate for horizon satellites as they appear to be sp...

Re: Mother and son team stream Dish Network content around the globe

I agree. A C band dish gives you access to an equivalent 'basic cable' package plus wild feeds. It is more than enough TV for any sane person. Sometimes the premium channels go in the clear and you can watch those too, but if you are addicted to premium content, you will just have to subscribe and p...

Re: POSSIBLE LOSS OF LNB

Could your problem be related to 4g/5g terrestrial interference? Did any new microwave towers go up in your area? Are you near an industrial area or airport? If your Ku band works like before but your C band is experiencing problems, it might be related to this. If you don't suspect interference, yo...
