Re: 105 W transponder question.

Thank you, For the useful reply. Interesting, a little math seems to indicate that SNR strength is NOT directly proportional to the surface area of the dish, as the NASA transponder on 127 W comes in at circa 14.5 to 15.0 for my 10 footer. If SNR was directly proportional to dish surface area then a...

105 W transponder question.

Hello,

At the moment, I am unable to get any SNR from:

105W
3780H
DVB-S2
8PSK
30000 3/4

Other transponders are coming in on 105W, but this one is suddenly gone for me. Is this transponder still up and itc? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

blind scanning this birdie now,

Re: Grounding your Dish!

Hello, Here is what I did. The grounding rod is hammered in the ground, all 6 feet of it, and connected to the pyramidal mount assembly by one of its bolts. A related question, should we put our satellite dish cables in conduit, to protect them from the weather? Please see attached photos. Any sugge...

Re: Dish Size Poll

Well,

We got a 10 footer, but I am voting for a 12 footer. We might get a 12 footer or larger, some day if it is needed. So far so good with the 10 footer. Hopefully 5G does not change things

Scanning the friendly skies, :-)

Re: Audio sound question.

Hi dishcrank,

Thank you! That worked perfectly. Once I found the Audio button on the ZGemma remote, and not the audio settings from the Setup menu, all was well.

Very much appreciated,

Audio sound question.

Hello, On 105W: 3780H DVB-S2 8PSK 30000 On the NBC Feeds, certain programs, i.e. their Nightly news, the audio content is not mixed properly? The voice is missing, the background theme is very loud in comparison with the voice audio (when it starts playing). I have looked at the data file and there ...

Re: Outstanding

I second iggy57's compliments, This site has been invaluable to us in getting our 10 foot C-band dish up and running with a ZGemma H7 receiver. The programs we have been able to access have been awesome, and are about to get far better as we have some hazardous trees removed. We have already seen so...

Re: Happy Independence Day

Happy Independence Day to all our American members! I was looking forward to Trump's military parade :salute but the fake broadcast networks (ABC, NBC, CBS) have conspired :gathering: to cancel coverage of the event. :boo! I guess we'll just have to watch the parade on Putin's RT Network. Thank you...

Re: Boeing aviation software outsourced to $9 an hour "engineers"

Thank you, For the information. I agree with what you said wholeheartedly. I have literally seen millions of dollars spent on outsourcing go right down the toilet, time and again. "Lean principals" has been the latest flavour used to gut Quality Assurance in many industries, including anything softw...
