Re: Broadcasters have started encrypting ATSC3.0 transmissions
Mainstream media is dying….and I for one won’t lose any sleep over it. They call it ‘programming’ for a reason.

Re: Dish loses 552000 subs in Q1 of 2023
Dish isn’t worth a bucket of warm spit and DTV isn’t any better. That being said added to other data points this is a picture of real world economy with people cutting discretionary spending way back. With the big dish and the KU dish sitting next to it once its paid for no monthly out of pocket for...

Re: And your money is GONE!
And the banking system is intertwined totally today and contagen is a given. It's not just SVB bank but all the other banks that own/guarantee SVB's credit default swaps, collateralized loan obligations and derivatives. The counter party risk today will take down the whole system. Some things are to...

Re: Girlfriend smashed satellite dish
She probably has a point about getting your butt out of bed and getting some exercise though. It’s easier to sweat a bit and keep your health than it is to try to get it back once its gone.

Re: Cautions about Rainier Satellite and DrSat
My 10’ dish that I bought from Tek has survived 5 winters now in the U.P. of Michigan and aside from the fading paint I have had no trouble with it besides using C-clamps on the saddle to hold the arm tight but I read that later versions of this dish were made with thicker gauge steel. Legacy pay tv...

Re: Russia warns West. We can target your commercial satellites
People need to educate themselves about the WEF (world economic forum) with Klaus Schwab and the Davos crowd and things begin to fall into place. Putin is no angel being ex KGB (sort of like being ex CIA) but he is a nationalist that wants what is best for his country and leaders like that are boote...

Re: Direct TV Ka band
Their audio was never encrypted and I think it's still ITC. I used to use a card and the DSS to DVB plugin and was able to listen to their whole lineup. Once I ended up getting Sirius XM it really wasn't worth playing with anymore.

Re: Report: Dish 5G interference will make Starlink terminals unusable
I have Starlink and for me it would be a non-issue and would be a non-issue for most of us that live out in the boonies as it will be a cold day in hades before we ever see 5G out here. And even the closest uplink facility is in a field in the middle of nowhere. But Dish doesn't have the muscle that...

Re: Dish lost over a million subs last quarter
Less and less disposable income thanks to them now almost fully destroying fiat currencies around the world. Companies like Dish, DirecTv, Pelaton, Netflix and others that don’t provide the necessities of life are going to go bankrupt. Companies that produce food, energy and basics that people have ...
