Most c band transponders over NA broadcast between 3.7GHz - 4.2GHz (IF is 950 - 1450). Looking at lyngsat, I think there are some transponders on ses 6 that are outside this frequency range. I see some in the 3.6GHz range and some others in the 4.5GHz range. You should be able to get the 3.6GHz ones with some attenuation, but you will need a different LNB for the upper C band (e.g. 4.5GHz).

I wouldn't sweat it unless you have some some specialized requirements. IF frequencies of 950 - 1450 or 950 - 1750 are both fine. The 950 - 1450 LNB will reject a little more out-band-noise if you are in a "noisy" RF environment.
