Datasheets with a bunch of untested numbers are useless. The lnb is a small part of the total noise. http://www.satsig.net/noise.htm

Well, I don't know about that...companies like macom wouldn't be in business very long if they were publishing bogus numbers.

Background noise + 1st stage amplifier noise are the most critical because after this, the signal has been amplified and any additional noise is small in comparison.

Macom and a few others may give the environment test information the spreadsheet is made from if you ask for it. ALL noise in microwave system is critical,,,,,no matter where it comes from.
