Well, lyngsat doesn't list the RB frequencies yet...foxcreek, do you have a link to any public resource that lists these transponders or is DTV just experimenting like you?
I was thinking maybe the feedhorns use a front-end BP filter switchable between 17-18GHz and 18-19Ghz or something similar. They may also use a different LO frequency. Aren't there any feedhorn specs from DTV?

I like your suggestion looking more closely at the AIM meter this could
give me some clues. I don't have to buy one I can just chat with the Tech's
at Solid Signal.
I sent a list of Mini Circuit modules to the sales Dept. @ Mini Circuits......
I'm hoping they won't be cost prohibitive. Building my own RB LNB is
the way to go and the most fun too. I'll go with a 950 to 1350 Mhz. I.F.
an L.O. of 16.35 Ghz using a VCO. a 17.3 to 17.7 Ghz LNA, a mixer with
L.O. power level compatable with the VCO. and a 950 to 1350 Mhz I. F.

Where did you find that table ? Based on what I know it looks correct !
I've abandoned building my own RB LNB the LNA module alone is $3050.00
and requires 120 days lead time ! It's a MITEQ AMFW-6F-17301780-120
( Googel it ).
I contacted Direct TV trying to get all the info on upgrading to the 4k UHD
programming. After having been handed off to 3 different people, having to
repeat my information 3 times and waisting 45 minutes I hung up on them.
Today I received an email from them saying that my monthly charge for service
is going to increase. I've had DTV for less than a year the contract I singed
was for 2 years with a fixed monthly rate for the duration of the contract.
I think I'm going to kick em to the curb !

The people at DTV are not there to give information. They are there to collect money! Jess out in California ps At this stage in life[79 in 4 mo's] 480 looks as good as 720 or 1080. Don't think 4k will improve my eyesight anymore.
9' mesh with c/ku feed horn,lnb's w/polorotor. Recievers hooked up: AZ prem hd., Pansat9500,and Manhattan. I have a few others in my colection including an old Satcruiser and a Captiveworks3000.

relevant to reverse band LNB switching protocol. Perhaps I missed it.

Hi...i am a new user here. As per my understanding you should Tune the 17GHz signals within the meter section of the menu settings and then probe the motherboard of the receiver for the transport stream bus lines. If the bus lines are not accessible, find the I and Q signals after the tuner. You must interface these signals to your PC.
