Dish mounting braket has got offset axis for dish swivel, is this normal

Post by Moosehunter63 » Tue Apr 18, 2017 11:04 am

When installing dish support on post(10 ft dish, post exactly plumb) I was setting declination and noticed dish swivel assembly had an offset axis, in relation to post which is plumb. It seems to be about 6 deg. Is this proper, or was there a manufacturing error?. The offset could be compared to a solid dish skew. I found the bolt hole is off set by .210". I could easily make it straight , so the axis of dish swivel shaft, would be parallel to vertical mounting post.
Help!!!!

If it tracks the arc, I wouldn't mess with it. Furthermore, skew can be adjusted at the lnb feed.

Here is a quick guide with illustration on how to align a c band dish
