Finding a 36v 24" actuator

Boy, trying to find a 36v 24" reed sensor actuator arm is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. The Tek2000 site has none in stock for 12" dishes, i.e., heavy duty.

Any idea where I can find one? The one I have is going south. I dare not try and move the dish anymore, for fear that it will get stuck where I do not want it. I do want to get it replaced before Dragon9 returns home. I watched the launch and docking on NASA TV and want to return to that feed for the return.

]i bought mine recent from Ricks Satellite site, you have to email him first to see its available in stock...its legit when i first heard about him and order with paypal since you got to be sure its no scam, got mine 2 weeks ago for my 10 foot dish...Venture Maxi 810-24K is OK at first..just noisy side due to ACME screw is normal for its operation ...i would spend more for ball screwed version tend to be little quieter but maybe i might add some lubricated on gears may work better as ball screwed versions ...either-way i am happy with it ..since it moves along the arc fine ...just make sure used extra nylon lock nut cause bolt is too long for spacer embedded can cause rocking motion during high wind ...so i fix it with tvrosat forum instructions how to install the actuator since superjack used smaller bolt with separated spacer go over the bolt but mine ...its all in one bolt and spacer..?? extra nut would help tighten on top part only...longest it swivel freely only from bottom were the spacer and hex meet while threads is on other side where top frame meet with bottom nut it came and extra nut on otherside where it sandwich the frame ...not sure i did it correctly as diagrams shown on this site where supposed to be exactly it looks if anyone else have experience using VENTURE ...cause its hard finding 24 inch anywhere in this country ..and 36 inch cost me a fortune that i have to wait year or so to afford one when mine breaks ..hope not...if you want...i will post some pictures how it looks

I use a 36" heavy duty actuator on my 12 footer gifted from tek2000. They seem to have those in stock

Never had any issues with it in over 3 years! Real quiet too!

Is this place legit?

www.inocosm.com/index.php?main_page=pro ... _id=190594

A 24" for $90, including shipping just seems unreal.

I ordered a 36" arm via Tek2000 and it arrived yesterday. The styrofoam packaging partially broke into pieces at the top of the arm end. No physical damage to the arm. I got it installed almost two hours ago. Unfortunately the accordion boot that came with it was the wrong size. Its hole is 1.5" while the arm is 1.75". I've already informed them. Not looking forward to installing the boot.

I have no idea if the pulse count on this arm is the same as the pulse count on the old arm. I found G19, which had the Tandberg already tuned to a transponder, and did a recal in the Drake 1824. Will have to set the east limit and west limit. Then I'll have to go looking for some of the other birds I sometimes look at.

awesome, i been using my venture very well so far..i never realize i had my on wrong side of dish ...i fix it by switching on the right instead the left...it works better now to get whole 40w to 133w ....amazing arm for 24inch with 40 pulses ...it really act like 36in majority time thicker and heavy duty...and noise level drop after i put some lubricated oil on polar screw...i realize where noise coming from ...it was long polar screw inside swivel mount ...can't have squeaks every time moves one side to other-side ....it made a lot of difference when adding lubricated oil on both ends polar screw..

anyone lives along below 100w ...it works better on right side of the arm right now its at 58w

correction : i am even not sure for others but depends which side is better ...cause i lived between both side in smack in the middle from 97w ...on instructions says ...western folks living far west need to be on right side...while eastern folks living close to eastern sats ...would be on left side...ITS VERY CONFUSING FROM MY END....i say it works lot better when its on right side cause there are not many sats from 97-130w ...vs i see more on eastern side from 40w -87w and still made it through 131w ...i don't care about 133w...just majority is religion channels...its same in 58w ...EWTN while more the same as 125w but sd quality

Mine is on the right side. I live in south central WI, so the arm could be on either side. That said, dishes set up here seem to only use the right side. Far west is blocked by trees and I can't go far east either, because of trees.

The arm that I ordered two years ago crapped out. It shorted. It measures 5-6 ohms. No, not the wiring. I measured the disconnected motor wiring.

Just ordered a new one from tek2000. Glad to see that they are now in stock. The weather is beginning to suck.
