I got Orby TV installed today. I'm happy with the service.
The quality is pretty good. I was surprised.
Things you need to know. I did not have the pole. It cost my 75 dollars for that extra install.
But the guy was here a few hours. And it is confirmed if you want to add a TV. You just need a splitter. And that's it.
The 150 dollar install include
The satellite, the over the air the diplexer and up-to 100 feet of cable.
Good thing they don't charge mileage. It was a 100 mile trip.
Now to rest everyone's mind.
When you order.
I picked the 50.00 dollar package
The DVR fee is 4.00
And I got epix. 6.00
My out the door was 60 dollars. And soon as I submitted the payment. Everything turned on. Just like the old 4dtv days. And it tells you when your service is due again
So I think it's well worth the money. And you own the equipment.
Update Orby Tv
Re: Update Orby Tv
Linear Signal ? DVB-S S2 ? NAGRAVISON 2 or 3 ? What is the signal rate ? HD ? Please explain further . I am intrigued.
Re: Update Orby Tv
Judging by the way the dish an lnb are skewed I'd guess it is a circular signal. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Update Orby Tv
Standard lnb 10750. If it was circular polarization the dish wouldn't have to be skewed like it is.
10' Tek C-band dish, 1.2 meter KU band dish, ASC1 mover, Octagon/Zgemma/Edison dual band STB's. Running OpenPli on all.

Been looking into this company. Heard some former dtv execs are behind it. Thanks for your feedback.
