Hi everyone,
I have seen the manual for the zegamma h7, which shows it has a "full service scan." Does this STB have blind scan capability? Just wanted to know before I pull the trigger on buying one. I do alot of blind scanning, mostly for sports feeds.

No blind scan capability currently.
10' Tek C-band dish, 1.2 meter KU band dish, ASC1 mover, Octagon/Zgemma/Edison dual band STB's. Running OpenPli on all.

There is a plugin for blindscan, but it gives an error that the manufacturer hasn't enabled something in hardware.
Other option is software blindscan. You can make a list of frequencies and symbol rates and do an automatic scan. For examples, I got this list to find the 'fat' transpoders:

There is no plugin for this. Use DreamEdit and create a satellite folder (call it blindscan) and enter the frequencies above. Then go to Manual Scan and select Single Satellite and select the folder you created. Hit OK and it will do a 'blindscan' of those 'fat' transponders.
You can create other folder with other common symbol rates. Use the same frequency list, but change the symbol rate. Other common symbol rate include: 30000, 31250, 29270, 28800, 28000
So if you create 5 folders with the above symbol rates, you will always find the 'fat' transponders which have the HD and 4K channels. This is probably 90% of the channels. You can create more folders to find common 'skinny' transponders too, like 10000, 15000 and 20000. Keep in mind though, with these smaller symbol rates, the center frequencies also shift to the 'middle' of the transponder. So use 3730, 3750, 3770, 3790, 3810....4190.
