Hello,

In the Satellite charts and the satellites update list for 65W, it shows:

NASA BCT encryption
11345 H
DVB-S2
8PSK
30000-2/3

Is this correct? NASA never encrypts its public facing broadcasts, so this is new? I cannot tune this satellite as we have trees in the way that are due to be removed in November so they do not fall on our home. Could someone confirm that this is correct? I think NASA would actually insist the their data not be encrypted, as it is their public charter to make these data freely available. Any confirmation on this would be helpful.

Cheers and a happy good morning,

BCT stands for Beijing Compunicate Technologies Inc. It is the conditional access system being used. NASA has nothing to do with those uplinks. Someone is testing a new service using h265 encoding. Another orby?????? They currently have one mux clear and a second identical one encrypted with BCT. Try doing a blind scan to find them all because they are moving things around. They've been there for a while now.

Weather Nation and ZNS can be found on 11305. They have live coverage of hurricane Dorian if you need it. The storm is currently slamming into the Bahamas. Nice little place. The last time I was there the bus driver was using a vine to open the rear door and the forward bus momentum to close it.

Thanks guys...

I can get these channels now.. BUT..the arthouse movie channel is CHOPPY for me. Same problem with the fightbox. They are fighting in SLOW MOTION. Any ideas??
I saw that on my Zgamma. I ended up Streaming to my computer to VLC and it was not choppy!

I wonder if there is a h.265 plugin for open atv to fix that?
