Post by tvroadmin » Sat Jun 07, 2014 10:20 pm

Rule #1: Posting TVRO Channels and Feed Information

Please post new information about backhaul satellite channels and feeds as follows:

4000 - V - 30000 - DVB-S2 - 3/4

where:

4000 = Transponder Frequency (MHz)
V = Polarity (V, H, L, R)
30000 = Symbol Rate (kSymbols)
DVB-S2 = Standard (DVB-S, DVB-S2, Digicipher 2, etc.)
3/4 = FEC rate

Please post the information in the correct satellite forum. If you have additional information, such as the channel name or event or encryption or bit rate, feel free to post that information right beneath the transponder information.

RULE # 2: Posting Commerical URLs

Please refrain from posting URLs of commercial enterprises for the express purpose of soliciting business. This includes any vendor selling hardware for the reception of digital television such as satellite and OTA antennas and accessories, satellite and cable set-top boxes, iptv streaming devices, and anything else related to digital television reception. Any such URLs will be deleted and you may be banned if you continue doing it. Anyone who wants to sell equipment for the reception of digital television is more than welcome to advertise on this forum and become an official sponsor.

All other information related URLs are permitted on these forum discussions as long as they are not "spam" related and/or designed for the purpose of exposing our members to computer viruses, etc.

RULE #3: Satellite/Cable/IPTV Piracy

Discussions about satellite, cable, OTA or IPTV piracy are strictly forbidden. Please do not start threads, make posts or upload files whose only purpose is to facilitate copyright infringement.

Specifically regarding the issue of digital encryption:

Allowed:

1. You may freely discuss the reception of any satellite signals that are unscrambled or unencrypted. These satellite signals are typically known as FTA (free-to-air).

2. You can post information about the encryption method being used on any satellite backhaul or feed (e.g. ABC Channel, 97W, 4000H, 30000, BISS encrypted);

3. You can bring to light a security breach about a digital encryption system ONLY if this is pertinent to your discussion. Security vendors generally want to know about any weaknesses in their systems so they can fix them. However, you may NOT excessively promote such discussions for the purpose of harming the security vendor. We believe it is a good idea that vendors know about specific problems so they can fix them, but we reserve the right to moderate such discussions and ban any member who displays malicious intent.

NOT Allowed:

1. You may NOT upload or post any files or software or keys or schematics that can potentially be used to compromise or pirate an encrypted satellite, cable, ota or iptv signals;

2. You may NOT start a discussion about how to pirate an encrypted satellite, cable, ota or iptv signal;

3. You may NOT start any kind of project whose ultimate purpose is to pirate an encrypted satellite, cable, ota or iptv signal;

4. Please do NOT discuss Digicipher II Programming in FP mode as it is technically encrypted. You may freely discuss Digicipher II programming in ZK mode, which is unencrypted.

This includes private messages and any emails sent through the forum server.

Finally, do not make any kind of self-incriminating posts in regards to copyright infringement that could be used against you. For example, do not openly state that you are watching an illegal streaming service or engage in any kind of piracy. Such posts could result in legal prosecution against you and possibly against this forum and such posts will be immediately deleted. If this continues, you will be banned from our forum.
