We’re pleased to announce channel’s from A&E Networks, (A&E, History, Lifetime, FYI, Crimes & Investigation, …), Crown Media (Hallmark, Hallmark Movies, Hallmark Drama), Scripps, (Food Network, Cooking, DIY, HGTV, …), Viacom, (Comedy Central, TV Land, Nick, Teen Nick, CMT, MTV, MTV Classic, MTV Live, VH-1, …) NBCU, (USA, Bravo, Golf, Syfy, NBCSN, CNBC, …) and more are in the process of being added for our subscription TV service. They will be added to packages soon. The big dish is truly back, with the best entertainment possible all in ULTIMATE HD only from Rainier
Kind of impressive he managed to pull this off actually. Those A&E Networks HD C-band feeds on 125W are great quality. Viacom and Hallmark... not so much. Too bitrate starved. Still should look better than whatever re-encoded crap the cablecos and small dish are pushing out these days though.

It could be a great deal for those who don't know the ins and outs of PowerVu :hehehe:

Certainly if I was actually going to pay for a linear TV service I would actually consider doing it through Rainier now instead of that overcompressed garbage put out by cable/Dish/DirecTV.

He's been promising history and a&e for 5 years. Soon might be another 5 years if there is cband left.

Hey.
Soon as he has them up and running. I'll probably look into getting a box.

Good for him. He has done something. That has not been done in a long time. Now he just needs to get control on the high box cost. But who knows.
Things could be getting better for c band. Only time will tell.

We just need someone who can build cheap 10 foot satellites. Non commercial. And I bet you'd see it come back.

There is no doubt about the quality. And I don't care how you get it otherwise.
Not much comes close. And we don't need internet to have it.

Yes, he's bluffed before. It seems he's trying to unload those Cisco receivers for $500 before they become worthless. All boxes sold by cable, D/N, DTV and FTA are under $200. He can sell the Cisco box for $100, just like Orby does, and try and make it on subscriptions alone, but there are no subscriptions to be had as millions are leaving pay-TV. :byebye

Those getting into C-band satellite are doing it to avoid the high cost of a pay-TV subscription. Surely, they are not getting into C-band to pay for another subscription, especially when the free-to-air content on C-band is equivalent to a basic cable subscription. Add the sports wild feeds to that, and most have no need for more TV.

High-quality, low cost 10-ft C-band consumer antennas are sold by our sponsors.

You won't find a lower price anywhere and with Trump recently raising tariffs on steel/aluminum imports to 25%, the few commercial antenna makers left in the USA will probably close their doors altogether. If the tariffs don't get them, then surely the fake "climate change" :rain carbon tax :boo! will as electricity and transportation costs skyrocket!
