8PSK TURBO SATELLITE CHANNELS

Post by nanirdjeff » Sat May 30, 2020 9:07 am

If a seller on Ebay advertises that a C-Band satellite receiver - "WILL NOT PICK UP 8 PSK TURBO SATELLITE CHANNELS IN THE USA" - what does this mean to a buyer? Also to what USA channels does this apply. I thank you for your reply.

Thanks Jesse. However, that does not explain why I cannot get the 8PSK frequencies on 99.2 West to work. 4156 H 5790 SR DVB-S2 8PSK was recently assigned to replace 3827 H 6650 R which I was able to receive. I cannot get the new 4156 etc to work. It shows that the TP is there and is active with a 95/85 indicated. I have not tried other 8PSK frequencies on other satellites at this time. Any further suggestions?

I have a Linkbox 9000i and an ASC- 1 dish mover! Also true a Norsat LNB {not lnbf} with full skew control!

I saw here the the new numbers (4156 h 5790) and went ahead and found found them. They worked! Then I forgot about them!

3827 h 6650 was working just just fine for me, then it was gone, and so was 4156 h5790 when I went looking there!

Shepards Chapel was coming in poorly (63%) so I adjusted the H skew from 45 to 64 and only was able to get 92%, best I could get!

Still no signal on the FOX, NBC, THIS mux on 99.2 (4156 h 5790)

Before you ask, it is a ten foot original install dish! (With his dad living right across the road - his guys were complaining about the the hole and how much concrete!)

I no longer have a sat dish since I moved into the Cal vet home here in Fresno.California. If you move the freq up or down 2 or 3 clicks and do a scan, that may help. About all I get anymore is the OTA on my Linkbox 9000i local and an Iview3500 OTA receiver. Jess out in Fresno, California.

I got it locked on 4156 H 5750.

The 3827 mux is gone at this time.
