Another million DirecTV Refugees - please read to get your TV back

AT&T Expects to Lose Over 1 Million TV Subscribers & Have More Blackouts in the 3rd Quarter of 2019

https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/att-exp ... r-of-2019/

It looks like DirecTV is shedding satellite customers by the millions now with no end in sight. I guess this is what happens when you hollow out every industry in the country by outsourcing, and resort to replacing your few remaining American service workers with H1-B Asian coolies. And then jack up your prices some more so the millions of jobless and newly indentured servants can't afford to buy your products anymore. :retarded

Luckily, all is NOT lost and if you are one of the millions of DirecTV refugees, there is light at the end of the tunnel and you can get your satellite TV back without breaking the bank!

First, we are NOT OrbyTV and don't sell subscriptions. If you want to pay $100 for a new satellite receiver and $40 per month for some basic cable channels, then go to their site: www.orbytv.com

Second, we are NOT a C-band subscription provider. Yes, there is one C-band provider out there for the USA, but practically every channel they offer is FTA and they charge $750 for their receiver, which will get you 2-3 premium channels which are not FTA.

Third, the best solution by far for all you DirecTV refugees who want to get your satellite TV back, especially in rural areas, is to invest in a C-Band Home Satellite TV System. You can purchase such a system from our sponsors Tek2000.com or Satellites-Gallore.com For best results, we recommend a 10 foot dish. The complete system with dish, motor, controller, feed and 4K satellite receiver will set you back about $1200 USD. It will be money well worth spending because there are no monthly subscription fees to pay after that, unless you want a specific premium channel from #1 and #2 above. If you add an aerial to your system, you will also get your local channels for free.

Step-by-step C-band setup instructions can be found here:
https://www.tvrosat.com/forum/phpBB3/vi ... .php?f=145

If you are not up to the task of installing a big dish on your own, consider hiring a deck or fence installer to dig the hole and plant the post/concrete footing for your new dish. This will not cost you more than a few hundred dollars. You can assemble the dish on the pole yourself in half a day. The last part involves tuning the dish and isn't that hard. You just set some angles (found here) and point the dish south (outlined here). If you don't want to assemble and tune the dish yourself, you can probably call a local DirecTV installer. They will be happy to take away your disconnected DirecTV system for free. Offer them a couple hundred dollars to assemble and tune your new C-band dish. Most will know how to do it and will be happy to take an installation job, even if it isn't for DirecTV.

Voila! Your new C-band satellite system will receive thousands of TV stations from around the world, including hundreds in HD/4K from the USA/Canada in English. These are all first generation feeds with no compression and will look great on your big screen TV. Add to that all the sports wild feeds and you will be set. You can browse all the available TV stations here.

AT&T has ruined what was once the best satellite service provider out there. They say they only want premium subscribers (read profitable) and the rest can go to hell. What about all of us who spent $$$$$ on hardware and installation but don't want to pay $250 every month for stuff we don't necessarily watch?

Hello,

We were DirecTV customers since circa 1999 until 2019, almost 20 years. We saw DirecTV go from a fun company who cared about its customers and offered good rates on its varied packages to a buggy overpriced service just prior to being acquired by AT & T. After AT & T took over, it has completely tanked in service, in quality and the incredibly expensive prices. DirecTV is gone and AT & T is not a company we will do business with. It appears that AT & T is actually trying to wreck what was once DirecTV, atleast from the outside looking in. Thank God for C-band and the helpful people at tek2000 and tvrosat.com that have helped us get our 10 foot dish up and running, with a ZGemma-H7 receiver. We have seen some beautiful programming because of this! DirecTV and AT & T never broadcast NASA in HD nor in UHD, ever. They stepped down the signal to 480i or 480p, and saved their bandwidth for hillbilly handfishing.

We are really enjoying the Clarke belt and thank you all,
