Re: Supporting the super jack.
I wouldn't lube unless you are in a hot, humid location by the sea where corrosion is a huge problem. Just get a can of anti-rust metallic paint and spray paint them black.

Re: HBO and Showtime available on Rainier???????????
Also, losing HBO on a cable or satellite TV provider is no big deal. Linear HBO on cable/satellite looks like garbage. Even their untouched 1080i H.264 C-band feeds are considerably lower quality than the 1080p H.264 versions available from their channel you can subscribe to on Amazon Prime Video. ...

Re: 16 foot antenna .... efficiency equivalent to 6 feet
You may also want to do a string test to be sure the reflector isn't warped and also to find your focal point. Sure is a beast of dish and needs to perform like it too. My God, the feed must be 20 feet in the air, how do you get up there to adjust it?

Re: Nice channel ITC
Those channels belong to Tigo Star (DTH) satellite and have gone back to encrypted. They share the same satellite as Orby TV and sometimes you will find their premium channels in the clear.

Re: fox movies on 133west
Fox Movies tends to be in FP mode a lot. MGM too. HBO too. Quite a few, actually, but you need a dsr-6000 to watch because an FTA receiver cannot decode the digicipher standard. Search ebay for a "dsr-6000". They are commercial rack mount receivers and not really intended for the living room....

Re: New Transponder on 91W.
Possibly a wild feed or Claro test mux. I will check when I have time. Fox and CBS are here also on 12128 v 8750.

Re: Free Preview ITC.
No such transponder on 131W. Did you mean 4100H? That would be the Showtime mux. It was in ZK mode over the weekend but now back to FP mode. You can still view it with a dsr-6000.

Re: Modifying a stationary DirecTV dish.
Since those directv feed horns are well matched to the reflector, I would keep them if possible. To convert from circular to linear polarization, look inside the OEM feed horns and you should see a small, metallic "bump". It's that bump that makes it a circular lnbf. If you can grind down that bump,...
