Re: Satellite " Over Load "

The nice thing about powered switches. Is if you can get say 300 feet a run. The switch will all 300 feet. Because it powers the lnbs. And now I have 2. I plan to play a bit. And hook 2 together. I want to see the how many I can hook to gather. And how far I can get. I did 2 in the past and they wor...

Re: Mesh vs Solid Dish

I had a fiberglass 10 foot channel master. That got took out in the last hurricane. But it did ku very well. And during the 1st hurricane. I live streamed the weather channel. Till the power went out up here. And it stayed in the entire time. It took 2 people to lift the dish onto the 500 lbs tripod...

Re: Satellite " Over Load "

Yes there is. You need to buy a powered switch.. They have 4x8 And I just ordered 5x8 Which can do 2 full satellites and TV or cable TV. And it powered. It's supplies the power to the lnbs Which will stop the over load. I used a 2x4 not powered by a power supply. And fta boxes could not handle it. T...

Re: WTB affordable positioner

I don't think you will find anything that cheap anymore. But I did find this site. They have all kinds of stuff. Even the vbox which has been good to me. 5 years old now. www. SatelliteDish.com I don't think of the cost so much. Since it is getting harder to find cheaper stuff. Good luck. I'm buying...

Re: LNB problems

Hi. I've had a few die like this. I think the last time. You may notice the noise level is lower then it use to be. And you dont get the spikes when you move the satellite. Even though you know your passing the satellite. I've had 2 die like this. You just reminded me why I need to order a back up o...

Installed new lnb 10750. Works

I got my new lnb yesterday. My fta box only showed correct frequencies when set to 10750. So I ordered a dual KU lnb. And installed it in my second 10 foot c band satellite. It works. I'm hoping no more rain fade. The satellite they installed did not have a full view and at the time was the only pla...

Re: Some photos of orby Showing how the account works

One thing nice about Orby TV. Is the fact that you own it.

The other thing is. You don't need the internet.
Most people have cell phones. And they have an app for that.

Re: Solid dishes

My solid satellite dish worked much better then my 2 mesh satellites. Mine was a fiberglass solid dish with a copper screen impregnated on it. I could set my lnb and pick up both Galaxy 16 and 19 at the same time.. One lnb I have not been able to do that with my mesh ones. And my ku worked better. A...
