Antique LNB

Post by Manny » Fri Apr 03, 2020 7:26 pm

Good Afternoon
I have 2 Chaparral single Feedhorn stored, with 2 antique(1998) LNB, one is samsonic, compact, and the other is a norsat, is large, I dont know the number or model. The question is possible to get the new signals mpg4, 8psk, etc. with these LNB?

I will appreciate your response

Thanks in advance

8psk,Mpeg4 and other signals processed by the receiver, not by the lna/lnb's

Thanks skinks, my question is because I put the older LNB in my dish and pointed to 105w and I received channels on TP 4100/H/30000, no others channels, after that I pointed to sat 58W and only received 3760/V/27690 some channels. Is very difficult control of polarization, I use PANSAT 2700A to change polarization.
Maybe my problem is my dish need fine tune. In conclusion, is the lnb ok?

Thanks

I dealed personally with a lot of old use donataed parts having harvested nearly ten dishes since 2004. I stocked dish and parts.

I can tell you that old LNBs have local oscillators that ar too unstable or precise for the current use we do with digtal receivers.
At this point you even better off with crappy chiners beige LNBs, after some lysol of curse :-).
