I've had an 18" heavy duty actuator bought from Tek2000 for about a year.
Has been working well however it has suddenly got stuck at a fully retracted position.
When power is applied, it rotates but doesn't extend an inch..
Please help tek2000

Re: Locked Actuator
Not sure the make of the actuator, but I have rarely hear them stuck unless the tube is bent or the sensor is bad or wires have come loose. What have you done to troubleshoot the problem?
Re: Locked Actuator
It's the "superjack 18" QARL sold by tek2000.
I've realized it has jammed ie the the moving nut ( attached to the moving inner tube) inside moved to the extreme due to a failed limit switch and locked itself on the bolt (the central rod that the final gear spins) so hard that the motor cannot unlock it..
I've separated the rod from the from the motor assembly and tried unlocking it manually by twisting the bolt clockwise and the nut (the inner tube) anticlockwise but it's so hardly locked I haven't succeeded yet. Broke a pliers in the process.
Re: Locked Actuator
Thank God I finally unjammed it by locking one end at the inner bolt and hammering the sliding tube inside very hard ina an anticlockwise direction.

Re: Locked Actuator
Signality,
Please contact me. We have replacement parts for your actuator.
These actuators tend to run trouble free for years but because mechanical parts are involved, some parts may break and need to be replaced. Fortunately, we carry these spare parts and would be happy to assist anyone experiencing problems. No need to buy a new actuator!
