Does anyone recommend this receiver? Will any of the sponsors here be selling it or any other 4K receiver? :bigsmile

We have been testing this receiver and looking at how to add a 16/32 psk tuner and 4:2:2 support (the manufacturer has not been very helpful). It certainly has all the bells and whistles and much more, but it comes at a steep price!

We will test the waters in a few weeks by offering Vu+ products for sale, but if demand is lukewarm for the 4K model, we may have to discontinue it.

If there are Enigma 2 drivers available, it will work.

You may also want to look into the DM900UHD from Dreambox. It is coming in September. :thumbsup

Dreambox always worked with skywalker1 and most people say it is the best fta brand in Europe. I am not sure why you want to connect the skywalker1, but if are trying to cheat and get extra channels for free :biggrin , then dreambox is a better bargain because it will decode channels without stream relay.

Vu+ needs to relay the stream to a PC for decoding and then send the decoded stream back to the Vu+. The Dreambox does everything locally and no PC is required.

Please explain why would you have to do that, what would be the difference in a USB tuner vs a tuner that is built in the unit?

People use stream relay to process signals on their computers and/or watch them on their computers. For example, dreambox can't handle 4.2.2 signals, so people simply decode them on their computers. It is a cool feature to have in my opinion.

As for USB, all receivers have them now, but you need the drivers for your particular tuner to go along with them, or it won't work.
