You paid too much. The DSR6000 can be had for under $200 and will give you access to quite a bit of dc2 premium content.eelstrebor wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 4:19 pmI paid about $1000 for a DSR922 so I'm "guessing" that is how much I'd spend for a true quality receiver. It would have to be "bullet-proof" at that price with excellent customer support. Of course, H.265 is all the rage now. As for 4.2.2, those services play back very well through VLC.
How much are you willing to pay for a consumer h.264 and hevc (4.2.2) capable STB?

Maybe a DSR6000 or DSR922 is $200 today but it was around $1000 back around the year 2000 before they shut down the subscription streams. That didn't include the VideoCipher II module or the HDTV "sidecar". There were other analog receivers by GI prior to the DSR922 that cost around $1000 back then also. I still have my DSR922 and HDTV sidecar but they're just collecting dust now.rusty wrote: ↑Sun Aug 30, 2020 10:15 pmYou paid too much. Is only $75 for me. I buy from ebay..prices very good for dsr6000.. worth for me because it gives 50 extra channels like mgm, starz, discover, hbo, fox (many different channels), disney..now I find 30 more channels at 105 satellite and making stream file for those.
