Time to update my STB to HVEC. But there seems to be many “new” ( to me) desired features, and a slew of Chinese STBs, I’m hoping someone can help me out.
Biss and IPTV streaming as well as HVEC...can anyone recommend other features to look for and recommend a specific box? I am not into transport stream monitoring etc...maybe should be..just not sure I want a big new learning curve..
Any advise or discussion via Private message ok too

Re: New Reciever features
Go with a Linux/Enigma2 box and you will not be disappointed. The firmware / plugins are open source and the support is ongoing.
We have many tutorials to help people get going with these set-top-boxes:

Yes, you need hevc, 16/32 apsk and 4K capability. The faster the better. I think dual core @1.5GHz is the top of the line standard today. Check out our sponsors. They carry the latest Linux boxes for C band satellite.

Re: New Reciever features
Tnx for the suggestions.
I currently use a Geosat HD Micro.. been very happy with it.
I should probably update to a PLL LNB too (C band 10 ft mesh dish)
