How to Post Satellite Feed Information

Post by tvroadmin » Mon Jul 01, 2019 3:07 am

The Clarke Belt does NOT only belong to you. Please share information about new satellite feeds so others can enjoy them too!! :bigsmile

How to post:
  • Post in the correct orbital location. If you are unsure about the satellite location, consider posting by category instead.
  • At the very minimum, post the satellite orbital location, transponder frequency, polarization and symbol rate as shown in the example below.

101°W
4000 V
30000

where:

101°W = Satellite Orbital Location
4000 = Transponder Frequency in MHz
V = Polarity (V, H, L, R)
30000 = Symbol Rate in kSymbols

You can also add additional information like the following:

Frequency Band: C, Ku, Ka, S
Standard: DVB-S or DVB-S2
FEC rate: 3/4, 5/6, 8/9
Encryption: FTA, PowerVu, Digicipher, Biss, Irdetor, Director, etc

Description: A brief description of the contents if known. For example, "4-channel Nascar Wild Feed is in the clear" or "New Diginet channel is FTA", etc.
