wget: bad address 'feeds2.mynonpublic.com'

Post by plambo » Fri Jul 20, 2018 12:08 pm

Tring to install any plugin on ZGemma H7.AC I get tons of error messages wget: bad address 'feeds2.mynonpublic.com' and installation fails. I tried with direct internet connection, no other computer with McAfee network protection without success. Tried after reset to the factory image, same results. Some of the packets from the same address get installed, so I'm wondering what's wrong in my box configuration.

plambo,

Check the plugins list - kodi may installed even if it encountered errors!

I have installed kodi several times and using different firmware on my machine without any issues.

You may want to visit the official Kodi forum for further help:

https://forum.kodi.tv/

Those guys develop the kodi software and would know what your errors mean.

Thanks fatso, it was due to my error in the network settings. after I have corrected them to use Gateway and set the local IP address of my modem/router I have installed kodi. I have noticed in the log that the installer script first removes any Bluetooth installations before continuing with the install.
Unfortunately, now when I start kodi from OpenWebif (through external connection) I only got a blank screen, so there's still something wrong. I'll check tonight directly from the receiver after reboot.

Finally Kodi works. During network setup, make sure all tests pass OK (minus DHCP if you use static address), then installing Kodi and add-ons works fine.
