Streaming from DSR6000 to Edision OS mio

Posting of DCII feeds in ZK, FP or MP modes. These normally require a commercial DSR receiver to view because the transmission standard is different from DVB-S/S2.

Streaming from DSR6000 to Edision OS mio

Post by hans » Sun Nov 21, 2021 2:20 am

Hey guys, as the title says I am trying to stream ZK/FP programs from my DSR6000 to Edision OS mio. The DSR6000 is tuned and locked and the MPTS ip address points to the ip address of the Edision. In the Edision, I have inserted the streaming channels. Here is an example of a streaming channel in my Edision:

Name: The Movie Channel
URL: udp://@239.10.10.10:6100 --program 2 --sout
Stream Type: non-TS
Server Type: 1
ID: 2
Transponder ID: 11
Network ID: 22
Namespace: 33

At the moment, I am trying to stream the Showcase mux on 125 west 4180V. I tried entering SID 2 so the Edision can demultiplex The Movie Channel, but it streams a random program from the mux instead. Arghhhh... To make a long story short, the DSR streams the entire mux to the Edision, but the Edision doesn't know how to pick a particular program no matter what I enter in the streaming parameters. So I am stuck cycling through all channels until I find the one I want.

Any ideas???????????

You can use an .m3u playlist. The one below works on VLC and Kodi.

Code: Select all

#EXTM3U
#EXTVLCOPT:program=1
#EXTINF:0,-1 - Reelz HD
udp://@239.10.10.10:6100
#EXTVLCOPT:program=2
#EXTINF:0,-1 - Bloomberg HD
udp://@239.10.10.10:6100
#EXTVLCOPT:program=3
#EXTINF:0,-1 - Eleven Sports HD
udp://@239.10.10.10:6100
#EXTVLCOPT:program=4
#EXTINF:0,-1 - Outside TV HD
udp://@239.10.10.10:6100
#EXTVLCOPT:program=5
#EXTINF:0,-1 - Fuse East HD
udp://@239.10.10.10:6100
#EXTVLCOPT:program=6
#EXTINF:0,-1 - Fuse West
udp://@239.10.10.10:6100
#EXTVLCOPT:program=7
#EXTINF:0,-1 - Fuse East
udp://@239.10.10.10:6100
#EXTVLCOPT:program=8
#EXTINF:0,-1 - JBS HD
udp://@239.10.10.10:6100
#EXTVLCOPT:program=9
#EXTINF:0,-1 - NTD News HD
udp://@239.10.10.10:6100
#EXTVLCOPT:program=10
#EXTINF:0,-1 - NTD
udp://@239.10.10.10:6100

It is for the Bloomberg mux on 127w which is currently in ZK mode. C/P to notepad and save it with a .m3u extension. Open VLC and go to View and select Playlist. Right click and load your .m3u playlist. Assuming your dsr-6000 is tuned properly to the Bloomberg mux on 127w and the ip address points to your PC, it will stream that mux to VLC and you can select the channel you want to view. Keep in mind that for FP mode you have to tell the dsr which program you want decrypted for this to work.

The only way to make this work on an Enigma2 stb is to load Kodi and run it from within that.

You're very welcome!

For those who are new to digicipher and the dsr-6000, more information can be found at Rick's:

Although the digicipher standard seems to be going away on c band, the dsr-6000 can also tune: DVB-S2, DVB-S and Turbo-8PSK signals. That means you can tune and stream any FTA programs on Dish USA, Dish Mexico, Bell (Canada), Shaw (Canada) in addition to any remaining digicipher programs on c band. In fact, the only signals it can't tune are DSS from DirecTV and symbol rates above 33 for DVB-S2. It is a very handy machine for the satellite hobbyist to own. :comp
