These are a relay for IPTV, they will be encrypting. The picture is freakin sad looking :( , gives C band a bad name being up there.
I am too cheap to pay for a banner slot to hawk my products so I spam this board instead. I am intolerant of the c band community, so I belittle them under different aliases. I post fake news on the guitar man's website. Now I am no longer welcome here.

standish; What are you watching these ch's on? I know the Cisco reciever won't do 16apsk. They seem to do well on my Pansat 9500 and my Manhattan 1997. Like most finds in the FTA world, some stay for awhile and others do not. Jess out in California

With a FW upgrade the Cisco gets it fine  Works good. :respect

The content looks like crap though. Leave it to Charlie to be the king of crap pictures. :pistols :mooning :machinegun

Interesting to know. I guess it will do the 32apsk also? What about the "turbo"8psk? I have looked at the spec's and didn't see it listed, also no info on the processor. Was the new f/w download from the site of was it from a usb? This reciever may have more capabilites than I first suspected. Jess out in California

Don't know about the processor never cracked the box. Don't want to void my Rainier warranty. Think Rainier said its propitiatory to Cisco in another thread in their section. FW upgrade can only be downloaded via satellite and Rainier must special order & authorize it for your IRD. Rainier said too other functions as well were in it to be addressed and tested later, don't know all the deets. Only specific testers can get this upgrade currently. I was one of the chosen few :spin

Thanks for the reply and Info. I'm wondering what other "goodies" this reciever is capable of. 4:2:2 modulation would be great. I'm not sure how the orginal AZ was able to get around the license fee. It is my understanding the Tanberg charges a fee for the use of the 4:2:2 modulation. I have 2 4dtv recievers; a 920 and a 922. Got the 922 to be able to recieve the Denver ch's' which later left. I use the 922 to move the dish and change polarity. The Reciever owner always had to depend on a download from a provider, and as we know Motorola shut down. I still like to have a reciever that I can control and not depend on a sat download. Just my feelings on the subject. Jess out in California

Those channels now have Harmonic Verimatrix added to them I see in TS Reader. That's what they will be encrypting with I would guess.
