CNN USA, CNN International, HLN USA, CNN Mexico, CNN Venezuela are currently ITC. This is a great bird if you can receive it because more than half of the programs I scanned are ITC.

Re: CNN mux on 43.1w ITC
Hi fatso,
Thank you for this post. This bird sounds very interesting. I am about 45°N latitude and 124° W longitude, so drawing an arc from that vantage point to 43°W at the equator, I am thinking that is below the horizon, or just on it and I will not be able to tune this bird. But we will try. :-)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,

Check the satellite footprint to see if it is receivable. In general, birds low on the horizon will suffer from more TI and ground noise, so you can expect only the stronger transponders to lock properly. The only way to find out is to test. For me, I use a 12 footer in northern Ontario and can lock all transponders on 43.1w except one or two.

I was getting it in Kingston Ontario on my 8 Footer! Was trying to get the ITC Fox News feed but using the SatHero I could not lock the transponder! DVB-S2 3895V 20200

Re: CNN mux on 43.1w ITC
The CNN mux is the strongest signal on this bird, at least for me. Getting s/n of 13 dB. The Fox News mux is around 12 dB and the HD movie channels are 11 dB. The weakest mux is the Love Nature UHD at only 10.5 dB. If anyone is trying to lock these, start with CNN and fine tune until you got maximum signal, then do a blind scan for everything else.

For that most excellent satellite footprint diagram. It confirms that I am unable to get that birdie, as I am about 125 miles west of the western most border of that footprint. Oh well, I am happily able to tune some excellent satellites besides this, for now.
Really enjoying this most interesting hobby,

If you've never seen it, here is a really good website to show if you can get a particular satellite - dishpointer.dot.com
Put in the general location/city where you live, then enter the Satellite you want to get and it creates a map if it puts a line to the Satellite in (Green) its possible to get the satellite, if the line is in (Red) then you cannot get it normally due to being below your horizon line.
If you scroll down from the map it also shows a readout of information for the dish elevation, azimuth and LNB skew to help you make adjustments on your dish.
Good Luck!
