Old news. They have been doing this for years, but now the DOJ is going after Dish for turning piracy into a business revenue stream. Already discussed in the thread below, in addition to the youtube link I inserted showing how Charlie was the biggest satellite pirate of all time back in the old c-band days.

The hypocrisy of all this really makes one want to :vomitintoilet

Your link don't work.

Sure Charlie was a pirate. He got busted for shipping VC-2's out of the U.S. to be chipped. If its dirty Charlie is in it. Regardless stealing signals no matter what is a crime.

I was in the signal corps when I was in the Army. Once the signal is in the air, it is up for grabs for anyone that want's it. The only semi-secure system is; two wires between you and your command post, and that can be "tied into" also! Just a thought: The NSA is in the business of "stealing signals" both home and abroad. Good or bad? It's up to which side you are on. Just a thought from an old guy. Jess out in California

We provided Electronic countermeasure [ evedroping and jamming]. That was back before the digital age though. Don't know if that stuff is still classified or not. Jess out in California

I got called back in 1990 for Desert Shield/Storm in 1990 and went to Iraq as a 62G. (heavy equipment operator :()

My MOS was 202. '60 to 62 with a little bit of "Kenedy" time. It was the Berlin problem. was extended 6mo., but things cooled down and they let us out early. I had a US number[drafted]. Jess out in California
