Re: Orby TV Satellite Launches in USA
If you can lock the Orby transponders on 116.8W, then you are good to go. Their epg takes a few hours to download (so leave it overnight). I think I remember a 4 day epg for most channels? Which isn't bad considering it is a super cheap service utilizing 2 leased transponders.

Re: Orby TV Satellite Launches in USA
Well today. I tried to hook up my Orby satellite receiver.
Well I can tell you. I checked and made sure I was on the correct satellite. I even have both frequencies tuned with my fta box. 11940 v 30000 and 11980 v 30000.
I even hook the box outside with me. And it does not come up with signal and quality and they both read zero. Which all I can think is not compatible with the universal lnb. I double-checked there is a 13 volt output . So I guess I will order the installation. This way. I can see what hardware it uses.

Well then watch C-Band Satellite TV which is free and more channels and master feed quality, or call Orby for technical support.Z_finigan wrote: ↑Sat Feb 23, 2019 6:38 pmWell today. I tried to hook up my Orby satellite receiver.

Your universal LNB won't work. Orby is set for a standard lnb 10750 Ghz
10' Tek C-band dish, 1.2 meter KU band dish, ASC1 mover, Octagon/Zgemma/Edison dual band STB's. Running OpenPli on all.

Re: Orby TV Satellite Launches in USA
Thanks for pointing that out. I guess the OP can get an LNBF with LO = 10750 Ghz and would be okay?
Re: Orby TV Satellite Launches in USA
See I don't mind paying. Oh I will never give up my c band satellite. But now I'll have programming for the kids and DVR service as well.
This proves that c band could have the same system. And beef up the transponder and you could use c band on one of those pizza dishes. Just re configure it to use c band lnb and only use horizontal signals. Which I think could work.
