Harvard Scientific Dual C-band
Hello good night, again here consulting the experts, I have acquired a Dual C Band equipment but I get misaligned question in what way I can correct, in a part of the climbing ring it brings a kind of piston but it is very small and it is difficult to turn to loosen the piece. I am grateful in advance.

Re: Harvard Scientific Dual C-band
Well I managed to align the scalar ring, another question for this type of feedhorn is the elbow indispensable? Or it is only for the convenience of installation. Goodnight

Re: Harvard Scientific Dual C-band
The elbow is to make the feedhorn and lnb more compact to fit in a feedhorn cover.I have my two lnbs exposed to the elements.I just slapped on some silicone at the lnb/feedhorn coupling and use waterproof F connectors. No problem for years now(knock on wood).

Re: Harvard Scientific Dual C-band
Hello good day, excellent news, buying an elbow would take me to wait another month to reach my location in Mexico, one more question as I show in the following image is how I plan to install it is correct or do they go from different positions? My lnbs and feedhorn do not bring the plastic gaskets to seal the lnb / feedhorn gasket so with silicone it is possible to seal without any problem?

Re: Harvard Scientific Dual C-band
What make are those lnbs?Every lnb I bought, came with a rubber gasket that fits in between the feedhorn and lnb.I suppose if you put a small bead of silicone caulking around the mating surface of the lnb and feedhorn(on the outer perimeter where the groove for the gasket seats)and around the outside mating sufaces. No guarantees implied.

Re: Harvard Scientific Dual C-band
Unfortunately I bought them for use taking advantage of a low price, the lnbs are norsat in good condition, I still do not test them! The way they are placed (see image) is correct? Thank you.

Re: Harvard Scientific Dual C-band
Hello good morning everyone, I come back with a new problem and ask the experts, I am already using my feedhorn with two lnbs 1 Norsat + 1 echostart mixed the signal using a multiswitch 3x4 17v and 18v respectively for each lnb ... when I connect and I scan the signal (blindscan) I get about 65 channels but when I exchange the connectors and lnbs on the 3x4 multiswitch connectors under just a few 4 channels in total but they are totally different from the 65 channels that I download in the first scan, because it happens this? Could anyone help me please?

Re: Harvard Scientific Dual C-band
On my setup I have two dishes, one 2.4m for C band and a 1.2m for Ku.Each dish have orthofeeds that feed into a EMP powered multiswitch. The switch has a 22khz tone switch built in which separates the C band and Ku band when I scan a satellite or switch between them.Does the switches you are using have a 22khz option to connect the Ku lnb to?

Re: Harvard Scientific Dual C-band
The lnb echostart is for C band, I use a dual c band feedhorn, so the multiswitch is only for mixing the two polarities V and H, researching more thoroughly I think my lnb norsat is the one that does not work and therefore only scan a single polarity and that is the H, for the weekend I lower the antenna again and try another lnb ... Thank you very much for your comments.
